History of Yarn Durango

Durango is a very special place, in the center of so much natural beauty, and our residents thrive on the inspiration it provides. While our area is known for its myriad outdoor activities, we are also a vibrant arts community. Individual expression of art takes many forms, one of which is fiber art. From cradle to grave, it can be enjoyed by those of any skill level. Its pursuit can be passionate, addicting, and relaxing all at the same time.

Owner Shannon Hamlin purchased the shop in June 2016 and is enthusiastically committed to the excitement, educational opportunities and quality of product offered here at Yarn Durango.
