In this introductory class, students will learn terminology used in crochet, the basic crochet stitches: chain, single crochet, half-double crochet and if there’s time, double and treble crochet. Note: this class is for right-handed students; if you are left-handed, please consider taking a private crochet lesson with Joy instead, as she is a left-handed crocheter.

Lecture and technique; this is not a project-oriented class.
None needed - this class is for complete beginners who’ve never picked up a crochet hook before, or for those that maybe learned a long time ago, but have forgotten and need a refresher class.
Size H crochet hook and worsted or DK weight yarn (100% dishcloth cotton not recommended) of your choice. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL MATERIALS PRIOR TO CLASS; CLASS WILL START PROMPTLY AT TIME STATED.
To sign up for this class, please register through the website, or call the shop to be added to the list - registration fee goes to the shop, and the class fee is paid directly to the instructor via check or cash at the time of the class. If you are unable to attend, please call the shop no later than 48 hours prior; otherwise, registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. This class has a 2-student minimum; if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class, registration fee will be refunded, and student has the option to register for class at a later date, or contact the instructor for a 1-hour private lesson ($30/hr) by appointment.
Instructor reserves the right to refuse future class registration to those who no-show for a class.
